An informative tool is any resource or method used to share, deliver, or explain information to help people learn or understand something better. In teaching and learning, informative tools help teachers give knowledge to students clearly and effectively.

How I make use of email in my teaching and learning?

I make use of various informative tools such as email, vle (virtual learning environment), facebook, twitter. Among all these tools, I primarily use email to communicate with my tutors and friends regarding assignments, class timetables, and other university-related matters.

Overview of the email inbox.

Emails are an efficient way of sending learning resources and  materials to students. The tutors send important documents, reading materials, slides from lectures, assignments, and useful links to students mailboxes. This way, all the students get constant and timely access to important learning materials irrespective of location. It also reduces the reliance of in-class handouts and favors students who may have missed a lesson or need to review the material later. In addition, email allows teachers to incorporate multimedia materials, such as videos or infographics making learning more fun.

In the midst of a busy academic schedule, emails serve as an effective tool for sending announcements and reminders about exam dates, class timetables, schedules, and college events. It ensures that all students receive accurate and consistent information in a timely manner, helping us to stay organized and prepared.

As a future teacher, I would like to use email to interact with the student's parents. Through email, I will be able to provide regular feedback on student's academic performance, share child's progress and behavior, and inform parents about upcoming events or important school activities. This method  promotes transparency and strengthens the teacher-parent relationship, ensuring that parents are actively involved in their child’s education.

In conclusion, email is a valuable tool in teaching and learning, offering an efficient, accessible, and reliable means informative tool. It supports the sharing of information, enhances collaboration, and strengthens connections between teachers, students, and parents, ultimately contributing to a more organized and effective educational experience.
